A once-in-a-lifetime 10-day journey through Egypt

Join us for a pilgrimage through Egypt, where we start at the majestic pyramids and then snake our way up the Nile. We end  at the very tip of Egypt at the Abu Simbal temple sun festival featuring traditional Nubian live music and celebration. 

The serpent represents new life – a shedding of the old – and an awakening of the Shakti/Sekhem life force energy available within all of us.

Cairo

We start our journey in Cairo with an opening dinner and ceremony.

The following day we will spend time in the Gaza Plateau, visiting the Great Pyramids & Sphinx.

The energy here is like no other! Each of the 3 pyramids has very specific energy and you will be divinely guided into which to enter.

From here we head to Upper Egypt to integrate these potent energies, and experience more.

Luxor

Spend 3 days exploring fascinating sites and temples primarily centered around the Divine Feminine. We will visit the Valley of the Queens, including the grand mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful female pharaohs, and Queen Nefertari’s breathtakingly decorated tomb.

We will also take a day trip to visit the Temple to Hathor at Dendera, and volunteer with a woman's collective for widowed and divorced single women and mothers.

The Nile River

Enjoy daily yoga, meditation, and dance outside on the deck of our Da’abiyah river boat. Spend nights gazing at the sea of stars and drink in the raw nature.

Visit temples along the Nile alive with ancient energy, which hold codes for awakening and activating specific frequencies within you.

The retreat will culminate at the Abu Simbel site for the bi-annual Sun Festival.

 DAY 2  Cairo - visit the Pyramids & Sphinx 

 

Cairo! We will spend the day exploring the Gaza Plateau and visiting the Pyramids & Sphinx.

 

The energies at this site are some of the most powerful in the world. 

 

After this initiatory day, we will spend the rest of the trip integrating this potent energy. 



Fly to Luxor

DAY 3  

In Luxor we will stay at the stunning Amenti Villa & Retreat Center in Luxor run by Akara Sophia -a friend and mentor of Bethany- and her Egyptian husband, Hassan.

DAY 3 

Akara & Hassan are deeply spiritual, fun, and some of the most beautiful humans you will ever meet! They will guide us through our Egyptian pilgrimage .

HABU TEMPLE

Habu Temple is one of Luxor’s most impressive and well-preserved ancient sites.

The temple is dedicated to Amun-Ra, the supreme sun god, symbolizing creation, life force, and divine will.

Habu Temple is said to be built on a powerful ley line, also connected to the Pyramids of Giza, Karnak, Luxor Temple, and Abu Simbel!

Visit a Sacred Oil Shop in downtown Luxor and receive a lecture and healing by a Sufi Mystic and healer, Adele.

 

Bless yourself and loved ones by bringing home high-vibrational local Egyptian oils, incense and teas, such as frankincense, oud, rose, lotus, spikenard and more...

 DAY 4
 
Hathor Temple at Dendera 

 

At Dendera we will spend the morning with beloved Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, music, dance and fertility...

 

Dendera is one of the most preserved temples in all of Egypt, and all of the secrets of the universe are said to be located within this temple as it is packed full of esoteric knowledge and symbols. Get ready for an activation of a lifetime!

Bethany’s Egypt retreats involve not only a divine experience for the participant/initiate, but also an authentic connection to the people and culture who call this land home. We give back to the land & people who give us so much.

We will be volunteering in a women’s collective for widowed and divorced women. In this culture women in this position consider themselves “useless“ and are focused on survival.  We will spend time with them, support them economically by buying their wares and also infuse joy, dance, music and hope into their day.

DAY 5

Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride 

Connect with the Air Element and the healing rays of the early Sun as we experience a bird's eye view of the many temples and sites Luxor has to offer.  These are views you won't soon forget.

Nefertari’s Tomb

 

We will visit the exquisite tomb of Queen Nefertari - Ramesses II's favorite wife, who he referred to as "the one for whom the sun shines".

 

This is one of the most spectacular and well-preserved tombs in the Valley of the Queens, referred to as the "Sistine Chapel of Ancient Egypt" due to its breathtaking artwork and vibrant colors. It is over 3,200 years old!

 

Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, also known as Djeser-Djeseru ("Holy of Holies"), is one of the most remarkable temples in Egypt, and is built into a cliff in the mountain.


Hatshepsut was one of the few women to rule Egypt as a pharaoh. She reigned for around 20 years and expanded Egypt’s trade and infrastructure. The temple celebrates her divine birth and legitimacy as ruler, portraying her as the daughter of the god Amun.

The Nile River, the longest river in the world, is also referred to as the “River of Life”. The Nile River itself is considered an energetic ley line, connecting many powerful ancient sites. It is also said to represent the spine of man, with its ancient temples corresponding to the chakra system. The Nile River is a source of life, fertility, and abundance for Egypt and beyond.

Enjoy tranquil waters and vivid sunsets as we sail down the Nile on a traditional Da'abiyah, visiting temples along the way.

We will start the day on the deck in circle, meditation, dance and movement, and end the evenings under the stars with belly dance, music, laughter and tea.

DAY 6 

Da’abiyah Cruise 

Enjoy daily yoga, meditation, and dance outside on the deck of our Da’abiyah river boat. Spend nights gazing at the sea of stars and drink in the raw nature.

ESNA TEMPLE

Esna Temple is in a secluded location not frequented by tourists, which allows an intimate connection with this awe-inspiring site.

This temple was dedicated to Khnum, the ram-headed god of creation, fertility, and the Nile's annual flooding.

Khnum shaped human souls on his potter’s wheel symbolizing the spiritual transformation, refinement and alchemy that comes from surrender to the Divine.

It is known for its remarkable preservation, intricate carvings, and vibrant astronomical ceiling. It is one of the few Egyptian temples with well-preserved colorful reliefs, thanks to its location being buried under silt for centuries.

DAY 7 

Da’abiyah Cruise &

EDFU TEMPLE

 

Edfu temple is the best preserved temple of the ancient world consecrated to Horus, the embodiment of the principle of Resurrection. 

Dedicated to Horus, Edfu temple awakens the mysteries of Sacred Union, the Divine Masculine and the Divine Child.

DAY 8 Da’abiyah Cruise - KOM OMBO TEMPLE & Gebel el-Silsila

  

Next stop is Kom Ombo, a famous healing temple in ancient days and now a gloriously picturesque edifice and energy-filled ruins overlooking a bend on the Nile.

 

We will visit the Temples of Sobek & Horus at Kom Ombo. It is here that the ancient initiates would face and learn how to digest their fear & anger (as represented by the crocodile Neter, Sobek), emotions that can severely inhibit our spiritual growth. 

DAY 8 Da’abiyah Cruise - KOM OMBO TEMPLE & Gebel el-Silsila

DAY 9 ABU SIMBEL 

Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Nubian Monuments, Abu Simbel was built by Ramesses II and includes a small temple to Hathor and Ramasses beloved Queen Nefertari.

 

The interior of the temple was designed so that twice a year the internal chamber and its statues are lit up by the rising sun. We will arrive to witness this event for the bi-annual Sun Festival!

 

DAY 10

A trip to Egypt is not complete without visiting the epic temple of Isis at Phillea.  Isis is the goddess, or personification of the Divine that represents alchemy, magic, and the absolute loyalty and devotion of a woman to her beloved counterpart (Osiris) and their divine child (Horus).

On this special extension tour we will visit the ORIGINAL site of this temple, which is mostly underwater. This is the real epicenter of the energy of the Isis Temple.

For thousands of years the Temple at Philea has been a place of pilgrimage.

The Temple of Isis on the island of Agilkia and is surrounded on all sides by the feminine quality of water of the mystical Nile river. Here we will honor Ausset (Isis) as the Great Mother, Alchemist and Divine Healer. The story of Osiris graces much of the monuments, and he is said to have been buried at Philea. The Sacred Union of Isis and Osiris is honored here at Philea.

Explore Nubian markets & culture

A 45 min boat ride brings us up the Nile to a Nubian Village where we are privileged to experience Nubian culture and food.

This very special hotel is nestled on the Nubian Island of Heissan, a "guardian island" of the Isis Temple where her priests were once buried. The ley line of the Pyramids of Giza also runs through this island.
